Minutes of Meetings

Meeting 29.4.03  Tally Ho, Schneider Road at 7.30pm

Present :-  Gerry & Jeremy Fish, Steve Green, Amanda Hardcastle (Green), Dave Attwood, Richard Attwood, Mike Mcguire, Kev Rowley, Bev Ellwood, Darren & Maddy Creighton, Phil & Ruth Haughian, Mark Thompson, Kev Mansell, Carol Johnson, Colin Hardman, Chris Perry, Mark Johnson, Maureen & Peter Stephenson.

1. Voted in committee members as follows:

    Chairman  _  Colin Hardman

    Secretary  -  Ruth Haughian & Tracy Bilton

    Treasurer  -  Carol Johnson

    Membership Secretary  -  Phil Haughian

    Newsletter Editor  -  Steve Green

2.  Colin Hardman to approach the Bay Radio with a view to advertising.

3.  Discussed future events - decided upon a "drive" and BBQ and May 18th followed by a weekend meet at Coniston Hall, Coniston in June. (subject to availability of campsite)

4. Discussed the idea of having club mugs manufactured.  Colin going to seek advice on "artwork" etc and report back next meeting.

5.  Website to be developed to incorporate more items.

6.  Next meeting scheduled for Tuesday 3rd June at the Tally Ho, Schneider Road at 7.30pm.

7.  Colin to create an agenda for above meeting.

8.  Carol as our treasurer is going to open a club bank account. Signees for the account are to be Amanda Green, Carol Johnson and Ruth Haughian.

9.  A "raffle" for the next meeting to raise funds was agreed upon.

10. Colin and Carol very generously offered a 10% discount to any member who requires his mechanical expertise (labour charges only).

Meeting Tuesday 3rd June Tally Ho, Schneider Road, Barrow 7.30pm

Present : Colin Hardman, Carol Johnson, Phil & Ruth Haughian, Chris Perry, Dave Attwood, Dave Sharples.

1. It was decided to write a letter inviting people to join our club who had shown initial interest and also a letter to paid up members.

2. Colin to contact Bay Radio about our club.

3. Website to be updated. Phil submitted to Google  search engine.

4. Next meeting arranged for 10th July at 6.30pm on Birkrigg Common.

5. Raffle to be organized for next meet. Phil to get prizes etc.

6. Discussed production of a membership card.

7. Club funds to be utilised for purchase of stationary, stamps etc.

8. Carol, our treasurer, informed us that our bank account is now up and running.

9. It was decided to ask Steve Green if he would allow us to use his email address on our website in his capacity as Newsletter Editor.

10. It was proposed to have a second annual day out to Tatton Park on August 10th.
